I think I know what my response would be

The EU Commissioner for Meddling in the Business of Sovereign Nations has issued a tart memo to eleven naughty member states who, he said, have not lived up to SuperNanny's requirements on "discrimination" laws.

For their transgressions, a "reasoned opinion or letter of formal notice" will be sent to each.

Dear European Commission for Telling Other Countries How to Run their Internal Affairs

Bite me.

And your whole army too.

Sincerely,
Estonia, France, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Sweden, Czech Republic, Germany, Latvia and Lithuania.

A couple of comments:

Firstly the language of the reference in Europa really shows who knows that they are boss. Time to recognise that the EU is our Central government, and that all the named places are in fact provinces of this new state called the EU.

Secondly a thought about what will happen next. After trying to force this lot through the infraction proceedings route, thus taking up much time, my guess is that the updated replacement of this Directive will be a Regulation. No room for errors by the "member states" as they transpose it into national law, the wording direct from the centre of the non-imperial empire just takes effect throughout the EU on the day they nominate.

Sir,

I believe I have already pointed out the requirement here to have a real or plausible name for commbox posts.

You will find the instructions fairly close to the top of the sidebar, a position selected to emphasize their importance in the O'sP scheme of things.

However interesting, future comments from you will be deleted if you continue to flout my simple and easy-to-follow rules.
