Pistols at dawn

Duelling petitions.

This just in via email.

Quite a lot of noise being made about "interpretations" of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. There's an anniversary coming up, I'm told.

Interesting document. Supposed by many to be the foundation of that old "New World Order" we keep hearing so much about. Of course, it's all open to interpretations. One person's idea of rights is another's of adolescent masturbatory solipsism, but who am I to judge? It's all subjective isn't it?

I have to say, despite these people doing really good work, I'm not really on with the whole "use it against them" idea. The Vatican does a lot of this, the whole "interpreting it differently" thing. But the fact is that these kinds of documents were designed to sweep away the old (Catholic) world of the ancient West. To present the good old chestnuts of Liberte, Egalite and Fraternite in a shiny new package.

They are never going to be our friends.

Anyway,

sign the petition.

It'll give you something else to procrastinate with for a few minutes, until lunch.

On December 10 pro-abortion groups will present petitions asking the UnitedNation's General Assembly to make abortion a universally recognized humanright. The Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute created an alternate petition drive that calls for government to interpret the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as protecting human life from the moment of conception to natural death. They need at least 100,000 signatures by December 10, the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Please go to the Website to sign the petition.

If you know anyone that would be interested in doing the same, please forward to them the above web link.
